One of the most common questions we get, and one of the most common frustrations homeowners describe from past experiences with other contractors, is simply not knowing what to expect on the calendar. Will this take a day? A week? Will someone show up when they say they will?
For a standard pool cage rescreen, most jobs are completed in one to two days, depending on the size of the enclosure and whether structural repairs (bent frame sections, damaged support bars) are needed alongside the screening itself. A single-panel repair is done in a day. Larger two-story enclosures or jobs that involve rescreening plus painting or hardware replacement can run two to three days.
What actually determines the timeline more than square footage is whether your project is a straightforward rescreen or whether our crew finds additional issues once we’re up close, corroded screws that need replacing, frame sections weakened by old storm damage, or a support structure that was never properly sealed in the first place. We’d rather tell you about that up front and adjust the timeline honestly than rush through it and have you calling us back in six months.
What you can do to keep things moving: clear the immediate area around your pool cage or lanai of furniture, plants, and decor before your appointment, and if your HOA requires any notice or documentation for the work, get that squared away on your end before the crew arrives. It keeps the whole project on schedule.
Timelines can shift because of weather, material availability, or a busy stretch during storm season, and we’d rather tell you that honestly at the estimate than promise a date we can’t guarantee. Scheduling and communication are areas we’re actively tightening up, with the goal that if something on our end needs to shift, you hear about it from us as early as possible, not after you’re left wondering.
